we may have made a grave error

So now that we've spent about 3+ hours removing every nail, tack, bit of stuffing and fabric from that built-like-a-tank chair, we found a little tag on the inside with the name of a furniture company on it, then further noticed that there was a small signature on the bottom bit of cloth. We did some Google research, and furniture made by this company (which closed in the early 80's) is selling for ... oh, about $3,000 on Ebay. There's no way we could possibly put this chair back together. We really tore into it.
