whew...

Oh man, I was seriously kidding myself this morning when I said I'd be back "this afternoon" with a new post! The only problem with doing these how-to videos is that, in addition to taking all the pictures, I have to film every step, edit it, add in all the text clips, etc. etc. And in this case, all that turned a one-hour craft project into more like a five-hour one!

But to make a long story short, I went from this ....

To this! It's a book-pages Christmas tree. Pretty cute, right? Try as I might, I just couldn't get the filming and editing done today, so please check back tomorrow for the video, and better pictures.

  3. That IS cute! Can't wait for a how-to! Yay! Another great idea to steal from Mary Grace! ;)
Though I'm still trying to decide where I'll put up my faux-antique drawing from your November 2nd post, 'Moi je joue'!

  4. Cute! Where do you get these ideas?! Do you make them all up on your own or do you have a favorite craft blog/book/site where you get these from? Can't wait to try it!

  5. Mandee - Thank you! It's almost done! I feel like I've been working on it for years, haha:)

Kelli Anne - I'm so glad you like it! It will look better when I get cuter pics of it up!

Poly - Awww, thanks! Haha, I know how you feel, I just prop my drawings up all over the place, and I'm always moving them around! Hopefully one of these days I'll get around to displaying them properly in frames or something.

Anon - This little book-pages tree craft I made up myself (though I'm sure there are similar craft projects out there, there's only so many ways to make a fake tree, right?), but most of the other things I've made on the blog are far from original ideas! I usually either see something I like and figure out how to copy it, or see something I like and make up my own version of it. My favorite source of inspiration for craft ideas is the DIY section of the design*sponge website. My crafts and ideas pale in comparison to theirs!
