Living Room Questions:
Where did you get the aqua spray paint for the coffee table? It's Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover. The color is Aqua, in Satin. It's also the color I used for the guest bedroom lamp.
How did you make that flower-design thing hanging by the bookshelves? I took this tutorial from design*sponge and went wild with it! Warning: you'll have to hoard toilet paper rolls for a while!
Where did you get your throw pillows? All of the tropical-toned ones you see came from World Market.
Furniture Questions:
What shade of white paint do you use for your furniture? My very-most-favorite is Behr Creamy White, in satin. I actually prefer Glidden paint ... it's just the best paint in my opinion, so I usually have them color match the Behr Creamy White to a Glidden paint.
Where did you get your patio furniture? It came from Cost Plus World Market!
Where do you find all this furniture to fix up? It almost all comes from Craig's List.
Misc.
How do you make your pictures look old-fashioned/colorful? I use an iPhone app called CameraBag. It's $1.99, I think, but well worth it! It has tons of different filters you can put on your pictures. The picture above was the "color-cross" filter.
Do you do this sort of thing for a living? I'm so flattered that anyone thinks I could do this for a living! I just have fun "playing house" and decorating my own little place. I've been fixing up furniture since I was a sophomore in college, and it's been a fun little side-business for me. Ideally I'll eventually not just refurbish, but also design furniture. I don't see myself ever becoming a decorator, though. I didn't go to school for decorating, and I don't think I'd enjoy having to work around other people's tastes, haha;)
Thanks so much, everyone for your kind comments and questions! They mean the world to me! If there's anything else you'd like to know, please feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email at whitewaxflower@gmail.com
Great job! I'd love to know more of your recipes. I loved your post about the banana/choc. chip cookies. :)
