But enough complaining! They've found a happy home and I'm very excited for the couple to come pick them up, because it's totally taking over our already-tiny dining area!
Here's a peek of the lovely oak under that awful splatter paint mess. If we were keeping the set for ourselves instead of selling it I would have stripped the set down and stained it very dark brown instead of painting it.
There were 6 chairs, and two of them (for the heads of the table) had arm rests. Jemima is sitting in one of the arm rest chairs.
Here's the set about a week later. The chairs are upholstered in a sturdy, very light, sandy-colored denim.
The leg pieces are connected by a very pretty, yoke-looking thing.
Even the table legs got some distressing action.
Unfortunately I don't have a before of the table, but here's one more before & after of the chairs:
The white is sooo worth it. They look amazing and the table is right out of a magazine.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of J Bones is precious and this table is amazing. It looks so light and airy in your dining room especially with the sweet pink flowers, the owners are very lucky :)
ReplyDeleteWow! That had to be a lot of work. But the results are worth it.
