a weekend in the country

This lovely cottage home was featured in Country Living, but I stumbled on it by reading this post on Decorology. 

Love that china cabinet, and of course I adore the white bead board wainscoting on the walls. It looks so crisp and clean and makes such a nice contrast with the rustic table and chairs.

This room is beautiful. I'd never have thought to paint a floor white, but I love this. And is that a vintage portrait I spy over to the left? Oh, how I love vintage portraits.

I have a serious black thumb and would no doubt kill every one of those plants by loving it to death, but if I ever manage to keep a plant alive, I'd love to have a little spot like this.

I saved the best for last. I love everything in this picture. The bead board, the fan, the simple coat rack, but most of all ... that amazing bench.
