kathleen kelly's brownstone

I fell in love with Kathleen Kelly's life when I saw You've Got Mail all the way back in 1998. Even though I was a teenager, I was already looking forward to having my own little home and my own little life. Her quaint children's bookstore, and eclectic, flea market style apartment seemed perfect to me.

While everyone else was buying the Spice Girls albums, I was buying the You've Got Mail soundtrack (which I still have!) Yes, I was a nerd, but a happy nerd:) Take a look at these inspiring pictures full of lovely details and sweet antiques.

Love the rows and rows of books, the wooden dining table used as a desk, and the china hung on the wall.

Look at that lovely woodwork. You don't see that in CA apartments!

Obsessed with this kitchen. So simple and sweet, and I LOVE that old table.

The blue and white floor is so cute, and those glass doors are dreamy.

Awww. He brought her daisies:)

That bed looks so cozy and comforting. The perfect place to drink tea and browse magazines on a Saturday morning.

It's kind of amazing when you think about the fact that this apartment would look perfectly cute and trendy in a movie today, yet that movie is over a decade old. I can't think of many styles and designs from the 90's that I'd want in my home today, but this movie's set and costume design is timeless.
