a year in pictures

In 2010....

We spent Christmas in Canada. Okay, technically that was in 2009, but it was the very last week of 2009!

I went flea market shopping at the Rose Bowl with Eddie and Jaithan (and Janet and Grace, too!)

Then we rented a giant truck...

packed up our things ...

And moved to San Diego!

We had lots of visits from family and friends.

We took an Alaskan cruise...

with the entire family!

Then I soaked up the sun in Cabo San Lucas with my besties.

And tried not to burn too badly;)

We were heartbroken when Jemima had to have surgery for a herniated disc, then we cheered and celebrated when she began walking again. Here we are with her during visiting hours at the animal hospital  :)

And then we got to watch as my parents raced in, and completed an Ironman.

We also went to Disney World, Scottsdale, Seattle, and more, but my favorite pictures from the entire year were taken right here at home...

Happy New Year!
And thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to every single person that has read white waxflower in 2010. I love you all!

  1. We are going on an Alaskan cruise this summer (since we live in Washington, it's the cheapest one and we've never been). How was it?

    Happy new year!

  4. Your pictures are all adorable! You've totally inspired me to try posting more personal ones on my blog as well.

Jealous of all your vacations too - heck, even that Canadian one (and *I'm* Canadian, lol).

As always, your blog is a pleasure to read and I`m sure all your readers are with me to thank *you* for sharing with us! :)

  5. We're still looking into it, but I think we're doing the one that goes to Glacier Bay, not to Tracy Arm Fjord, whichever one that is, through Princess cruises. We were told it's not always guaranteed that they can get the boat into the fjord.. Glad to hear it is fun- some of our younger friends think it'll be lame, but I'm stoked!

  7. Polyvorina - Thank you so much, your comment truly made my day and I appreciate your kind words more than you know!

I am trying to work on posting more personal pics as well, I always enjoy it so much when I get to take a "peek" into other bloggers every day lives, but for some reason I always forget to snap pictures of MY every day life! We can make it a joint new years resolution and I'll harass you if you don't start posting more pics on your blog;)

Lindsay - I have a terrible memory but I'm pretty sure that's the exact one we did ... it was definitely Princess cruises, and it was 7 days. The only cruise I'd done before this one was a 5 day Mexican cruise with my sorority sisters. It was really different from that one, much more grown up and less cheesy, haha:) My one complaint: the karaoke competition was totally rigged!

Jader - So nice to have "met" you too! I look forward to keeping up with your blog in 2011:)
