what would you do?

Our townhouse is sooooo close to being finished, but there are a few finishing touches I'm just not sure about. So I thought I'd get some opinions! This is my little vanity area in the master bedroom.

    


This is what the rest of the bedroom looks like. As you can see, our bed is black, but other than that, everything is aqua, white, pink or yellow.


The mirror that hangs above the vanity is a black, wood mirror that I bought about 5 or 6 years ago. It's not an antique or anything, and I've been thinking of painting it for quite awhile (I'm not a fan of a lot of black furniture and accessories). My question is: would you leave it, or paint it? And if you'd paint it, what color would you paint it?

    First off, your bedroom is adorable and fun. I would either keep the black to pull the color to the other side of the room so that the bed doesn't just stand out as the one black feature. Or, since you said you aren't a black fan anyway, maybe pull a cheery yellow from the throw pillow and paint the mirror that color?

    i would keep it black...i think it may be too much white if you paint it white. whatever you decide to do will be cute :)

    Either leave it black or paint it the same color as the yellow throw pillow.

    If you leave the mirror black, consider painting the stool black to draw the two together. (you may need to change the seat cover...you know I like to mix checks or plaids with flowers)
    If you do that, consider painting the picture frame aqua to match the pulls on the drawers.
    I am especially happy to see the little "Tembo" elephant there to remind you of good times!! Neen

    Pink! It's the focal point of that space and the black looks heavy and out of step with the feel of the room. I'm thinking between pink, yellow, and aqua, the pink will be most flattering to your face if the color bounces around in there at all.

    Ibis brings up a good point...you need to think about the skin tone of your face and which color would best compliment it.

    I vote Aqua. Regardless of what color you choose I do think it needs to be painted. And I love Aqua:)

    Is it too late to weigh in ?? I would leave it black and paint the stool black - loved that idea Neen :o) BUT . . . whatever you decide will look DE-vine
