I was vague on the details of how I would do my DITL series, but now I can show exactly what I had in mind. Here's mine and my husband's own personal "Day In The Life" board:
A Day In The Life of: The Fontenots

1. Olive Oil: We love to cook together, and somehow, no matter what we're cooking, it seems that we always find a way to incorporate olive oil. We just love it. Our favorite snack is plain hummus, heated up just a little bit, with warm olive oil drizzled on top, and sprinkled with black pepper. We use it as a dip for Indian flat bread, celery, green peppers, etc ... and it's to die for!
2. The Camera: we take it everywhere!
3. Speakers: Music is a big thing for me ... very big. I love music, I'm constantly looking for new music, and I would listen to it all day every day if I could. I even have personal playlists for different activities like relaxing, running, cooking, driving and so on!
4 The Beach: This goes without saying, but we love the beach. Who doesn't? We're so excited that we finally live just blocks away, and we go every chance we get. Our car, entryway and front patio are constantly covered in a layer of sand, and I love it that way!
5. Sunglasses: Neither my husband or I are much for expensive clothes, shoes, or other vanity items, but the one area we've both splurged on is sunglasses. I have my Marc Jacobs, he has is Ray Bans, and you'd have to pry both from our grip with the jaws of life to ever get them away from us!
6. Daisies: I'm just crazy about these sweet, happy little flowers. I buy fresh flowers every week at the Farmer's Market, and while I try to mix it up now and then with some different blooms, it's always a wonderful day when I bring home a cheerful boquet of daisies.
7. Maps: We love to look at maps! We'll study one and if we see something we don't recognize, we'll Google it and learn more. We love to look up places that we hear mentioned in songs and movies, and we especially love to plan all the faraway, exotic places we're going to check out once we're done building up our savings account we created just for traveling:)
8: Books: This one is sort of a two-part item. I bought my first vintage book when I was about 12 years old, and I've bought many more in recent years. I love our little collection, and always enjoy looking through them. The other part of this item is that we really enjoy reading together, aloud. I know, we're nerds, but we love it. We've read tons of books together that way, and it always takes us forever to finish them because we stop reading every 5 seconds to discuss whatever we just read!
So that's my fun little list of "ingredients" to a day in the life of the Fontenots. I hope you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for more DITL posts! I already have some really fun people signed up to participate:)
