disney world!!!

I'm back from a action-packed, extended weekend vacation! We had a blast, and we're a little sad to be back in the real world where there's no churro stands on every corner or magical music playing over hidden speakers as you walk down Main Street.

On our first full day, we went to Animal Kingdom. I'd only been once, and it was years ago, so I really enjoyed seeing everything and it felt like it was for the first time. I loved the safari. Look at the sweet baby giraffe!

Flamingos!

Lizzie and I modeling our bug-eyed 3D glasses.

Circle of Life tree. So incredible!

muah!

fist bump!

My brother John fell sound asleep while waiting for others to do some souvenir shopping.

Sunday morning my super-awesome parents completed a half Iron Man. My dad has done a full Iron Man before, and he ran this half one with my mom. I was so proud of them!!!

We made them a sign that says "Go Mom! Go Dad!" As you can see, I did not get the "tall" gene that runs in my family.

We finished up the weekend by spending Monday at the Magic Kingdom. Perfect place to end the trip!

On the boat ride back to our hotel (we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it was AWESOME!) we got caught in a huge thunderstorm. I love thunderstorms, and needless to say, we don't get many of them out in CA. It was so fun getting caught in a big summer shower, and these ended up being my favorite pictures from the whole trip.

I'll be back to my regularly scheduled posting tomorrow, so check back Wednesday for shiny new posts!

  1. Wonderful photos...feel as if I were there with you and family. Not only do you write well with picture words, but you can also tell a story with you photographs. You are good, good, good. Carpi Diem, Gracie....I believe you are doing just that!!!! Neen
