Today I'm showing off my loot from the Pasadena Flea Market! I actually have sort of a sad story (for me). While we were walking (practically running) through the flea market with Eddie, hitting up all the booths he wanted to talk about, I spotted this ADORABLE yellow bench. It looked like it came from a hamburger stand in the 1960's. I had no time to stop to buy it, and it was much too big to carry around with me anyway, so I waited until the class was over and went running back to that booth to buy that bench.
I got there just in time to see a man pick it up and walk away with it. He had JUST bought it! Heartbreaking!!! All that to say, I didn't buy much because I was saving my money to go get that bench. So I didn't come home with quite as much as I'd planned, but I'm very happy with what I got:)
How cute is this vintage green vanity case? It looks like something Nancy Drew would pack for a weekend trip with Bess and George, which will inevitably be the start of a thrilling mystery adventure, of course.
The lining of this had seen better days, and I'm almost done getting it all fixed up. Tune in tonight or tomorrow to see the "after"!
This one needs a bit of sprucing up, it's a bit worse for the wear, but I'm up to the task!
Don't you wish you could know more about Mr. or Ms. F.A.A.?
Sweet vintage silk scarves. I have big plans for these guys, too! I already made a lampshade out of one of them!
I am hosting a book club meeting soon, and this tablecloth will most definitely be in the spotlight. I can't wait to use it!
You did find some cute stuff!! I love the green suitcase and the tablecloth, such good finds. I am definitely going to have to register for the class the next time it was offered. It was my first time at the flee market and I basically walked around in circles oohing and ahhing and being indecisive about what to buy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to incorporate the word "loot" into this post :) Can't wait to see what you do with all your fun finds!
