from sweet to sassy

Remember this cute little bench that I fixed up awhile back? You can read about it by clicking here.

I was at Goodwill looking at (what else?) furniture, when this ugly shirt caught my eye.

Despite it's ugliness, I couldn't help but notice how much it looked like the oh-so-trendy ikat fabrics I'm seeing everywhere these days.

I wasn't sure the shirt was big enough to cover my little bench, but at $3.50 for the shirt I figured I wasn't taking too big of a risk:)

The top pops right out of the bench so that you can store things inside, so I simply took it off, "dressed" it in the shirt, and put it back on. No un-upholstering or stapling required!

Pretty cute, right? And the sweet ticking stripe is perfectly intact underneath, so I can go back to the old look anytime!

Pretty big transformation for $3.50 and about 2 minutes of time!
